Mrs. Cassie Riffe Sizemore, 71, passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023. She was born February 6, 1952 in McDowell County, WV to the late Issac Ed Riffe and Alberta Howard Riffe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lotta Mae Riffe, Lola Jean Riffe Mullis, Irene Frances Riffe, Kathleen Riffe Stanley; brothers, Jack Harvey Riffe, Carlos Howard, and Eugene Riffe. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Sizemore; her children, Paul (Lisa) Parks, Lloyd “Boo” (Amy) Parks, Ginnie (Ronnie) Roberts; grandchildren, Kayla Sparks, Tara Parks, Aydan Parks, Lacey Tranter; great-grandchildren, Macklin Sparks, Nolan Mick; brothers, Irvin Riffe, Dotson (Bonnie) Riffe, James (Connie) Riffe, Johnny Riffe; and her special K9 companion, “Baby”. Cassie loved gardening, bluegrass music, especially Ralph Stanley, as she went to hear him play as much as she could. Mrs. Sizemore enjoyed fishing, and quilting. She had a servant’s heart as her greatest passion was taking care of people. Cassie spent much of her time taking care of folks in Yadkin County during their end-of-life journey and she considered each person she cared for as family. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 8, 2023 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be 12:00PM, Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Jason Penley officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care shown to Cassie and her family.
