Yadkinville - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Catharine "Cathy Sr" Hardy, who departed this life on June 2, 2024. Born on October 13, 1944, Catharine's life was filled with love, kindness, and a deep commitment to her family and faith.

Catharine is survived by her loving son Ronnie (Terri) Hardy, devoted daughter Cathy Hardy Jr, and her adoring grandsons Bradley Hardy, Cody (Marie) Hardy, and Matthew (Jordan Beketov) Hardy, and great grandchildren Wyatt and Emmy Hardy. Left to carry on her legacy, they remember Catharine as a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering support. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Josephine (Phil) Brent, and Brother In-Law Wayne (Pamela) Hardy. She also leaves behind her best friend and softball travel companion, Bonnie Fulp, whom she shared many precious memories with throughout her lifetime.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger Hardy, who she held dearly in her heart until her final days. Catharine was also predeceased by her brother, J.D. Campbell and her sisters, Darlene Childress and Loretta Bowles. Their fond memories and teachings shaped Catharine into the remarkable woman she was.

Her faith was an important part of her life and she was a devoted member at Forbush Baptist Church. She was also a dedicated left fielder to many Senior League softball teams including the Wannabee’s, Mountain Mammas, and Tennessee Senior Stars that she held dear to her heart.

She dedicated 50 years to Unifi Manufacturing where she made many friends and was so beloved that she had the high honor of being Mrs. Santa Claus for generations of Yadkin County children in the local Christmas Parades.

Her life was not only marked by the people she left behind but also by her extraordinary legacy of kindness and generosity. Catharine was a beacon of light in her community and touched the lives of many individuals with her warm spirit. Her love for her grand-dogs Maggie and Bella will not be forgotten.
