Catherine Irene Swaim

Catherine Irene Swaim, 87, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Ms. Swaim was born April 9, 1933 in Yadkin County to Osar and Lona Weatherman Swaim.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Swaim was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Long; two sisters, Helen Robbins and Essie Mae Mathis; and a brother, Frankie Swaim.  She is survived by two children, Patsy Swaim and Johnny (Gloria) Swaim; grandchildren, Tonia (Wayne) Goad and Michael Swaim; great grandchildren, Dakota & Houston Goad and Trevor & Breighden Swaim; granddog, Bailey; sister, Bobbie Turner; two brother, Tommy (Darlene) Swaim and Fred (Carrie Ann) Swaim; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy (Rickie) Blackburn.   A funeral service was conducted at 4:00PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Pastor Gordon Macemore officiating.  Burial followed at Swaims Baptist Church cemetery.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Swaim family.
