Catherleen Loretta Osborne Marler

Catherleen Lorretta Osborne Marler, 79, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2024. She was born June 15, 1945 in Surry County to the late Franklin Eugene Osborne and Myrtle Catherleen Stanley Burge. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ricky Lee Ashburn; brother Sonny Osborne; grandchildren Luke Ashburn, James Larry Glenn, Casey Lee Gleen. Surviving are her husband Paul Marler; Children Annette Cothren, Tommy Ashburn (Kawana), Charlie (Dawn) McBride, Charlene McBride; step children Tara (Marty) Holbrook, Scottie (Neil) Marler, Shana (Billy) Bare; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday, November 8, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation at the Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend by Rev. Mark Osborne. Burial will follow at East Bend Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Forsyth Hospital and Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Marler.
