Cathey Mae Pardue Anderson

Yadkinville - Cathey Mae Pardue Anderson, 70, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born January 3, 1953 in Surry County to the late James Garland Pardue and Flora Barker Pardue.  She was a graduate of Wilkes Community College with a degree in nursing and was employed by Wilkes Regional Hospital with twenty-three years of service.  Cathey loved her pets, enjoyed music, going to concerts and beach vacations.  She enjoyed planting spring flowers and having bird houses.  Cathey was a faithful member of Benham Baptist Church in Elkin.  In later years, she attended First Baptist Church of Wilkesboro.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Daniel Anderson; sisters, Debra Hollar and husband Dale, Alice Watts; niece, Kristie Mahan and husband Michael; great nephews, Andrew Mahan, Austin Handy and wife Natasha, and Shane Redman.  Her graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Benham Baptist by the Rev.
