Cathy Elizabeth Shaffner

Cathy Elizabeth Shaffner passed away Thursday October 28, 2021 at SECU Hospice Home at the age of 68. She was born in Yadkin County on March 6, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Henry Rufus Shaffner, Sr. and Elizabeth Atkins Shaffner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Chad Patrick Beger; brother, Henry Rufus Shaffner, Jr.; and sister-in-law, JoAnn Shaffner. She survived by her brother, Jimmy Dale Shaffner; sister-in-law, Diane Marshall; nieces and nephews; Richard (Kandi) Shaffner, Angela (Stacy) Jones, Chris (Hannah) Shaffner, Shanda (Robert) Wagoner; great nieces and nephews; Lela Beth Stringer, Henry Jones, Amanda Shaffner, Carson Shaffner, Kayleigh Wagoner, Nathaniel Wagoner, and Joseph Wagoner; and several other family members. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will be conducted Wednesday November 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Crouse officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
