BOONVILLE - Mr. Cecil Clinton Myers, 94, of Crest Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at his home. He was born July 13, 1930 in Roanoke, Va to the late Haden Lewis and Annie Elizabeth Fox Myers. Mr. Myers worked for years as an apple farmer in Virginia. He loved being outside, working with his tractor in his garden and fields, and especially loved to feel the sunrise and daylight on his face. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Simmons Myers; by his sister, Lydia Myers, by a brother, Walter Myers, and by his son-in-law, James McNabb. Surviving are his beloved children, Sharon Myers of Salisbury, Shirley Vernon (Bill Cave) of Boonville; Roy Myers of Yadkinville; Judy McNabb of Roanoke, Va.; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Myers of Roanoke, Va; his sister-in-law, Linda Myers of Troutville, Va; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and a time of fellowship will be from 1-3 PM Friday, January 31, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
