BOONVILLE- Mr. Charles Wesley Bryant, 85, of Center Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home. He was born May 8, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Kenneth W. and Stacie Brown Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a member of Mitchells Chapel United Methodist Church, loved gospel music and worked several years at Hanes Hoisery before deciding to devote his life to farming and family. Mr. Bryant was a poultry farmer and loved spending time with all of his family, especially his grand and great- grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lennette Bryant; and two brothers, Ray Bryant and William “Bud” Loyd Bryant. Surviving are his beloved wife of 61 years, Libby Smitherman Bryant, of the home; his daughters, Charlene (Terry) Lambeth, Leigh Ann (Randy) Dimmette; grandchildren, Andrew (Randa) Combs, Ashleigh (T.J.) White, Emily (Brandon) Wingler, Laura (Derrick) Hefner, Alex Combs, Abbie Combs, fiance’ Alex Hobson,; great-grandchildren, Bo Combs, Brylee Combs, and Willow Hefner. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 2 PM Friday at Mitchells Chapel United Methodist Church by Rev. Tim Starbuck and Rev. Rebekkah Ralph. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to Well Care Hospice, and a special thank you to Emily Wingler and Parkley Hennings for all their loving care given to Mr. Bryant.
