Charles Everette Collins

Jonesville Mr. Charles Everette Collins, 79, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Collins was born in Yadkin County to Farris and Helen Sizemore Collins. He was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Collins was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Collins was also owner of Moore-Moxley Insurance Agency in Yadkinville where he worked for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Collins; and a daughter, Jan Collins. He is survived by his wife, Carol Blackburn Collins; children, Jeff (Sunni Lynn) Collins; Cathy Covey, and Kim (Tony) Green; grandchildren, Davis & Kara Collins, Taylor Green (Sam), Alexis (Chris) Vercauteren, Jordan & Skylar Green, and Cody & Billy Covey; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 11:30AM with visitation from 10:30 -11:30 at Jonesville First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jonesville First Baptist Church, 134 Winston Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Collins family.
