Charles Gwyn "CG" Hutchens

Charles Gwyn (CG) Hutchens, 77, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. He was born May 18, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Paul and Ruby S. Hutchens. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Jimmie R. Hutchens. Mr. Hutchens is survived by his wife of 57 years, Melva Ann Taylor Hutchens; children Angela H. Bennett, Michael D. Hutchens (Christina); grandchildren Heather B. O’Shell (Justin), Amanda Bennett, Dylan and Christopher Hutchens, Michael and Kayla Belza; great-grandchild Jaxson O’Shell; sister Betty H. Burke (Larry); niece Martie Boggs (Jeff) & Ali. CG loved any type of electrical work, working on his tractor, he dearly loved going to church and he never met a stranger. He was a member of Northwood Baptist Church. The family would like to give a special thank you to all those who have stepped up and went above and beyond and also to Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care given to CG. His funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Northwood Baptist Church with Dr. Allen Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Turners Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM at Northwood Baptist Church. Memorials made be made to Northwood Bible College, P.O. Box 1637, Yadkinville NC 27055.
