Charles Edward Hemric, Sr.

Boonville – Charles Edward Hemric, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born August 25, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Hubert and Kate Royall Hemric. Family meant so much to Charles, he loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, Nascar, and Carolina basketball. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Minnie King Hemric; grandson, Daniel Hemric; daughter-in-law, Tanya Hemric; sister, Kathleen Wagoner. Surviving are his children, Vickie (Keith) Cain, J.R. Hemric; grandchildren, Dustin (Danielle) Hemric, Ashley (Matt) Huttar, April (Justin) Shores; great grandchildren, Dustin Hemric, Jr., Ava Huttar, Olivia Huttar, Kylie Huttar; sister, Judy Griffin. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Marler Road Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial will follow in church cemetery. He will lie in-state from 12:30 to 1:00 PM Tuesday at Marler Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, September 6, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers, who he truly adored, Ann, Shakria, Margaret, Mary, Jane, Rachael and Diane for all the love and care shown to Charles.
