Charles "Tom" Allen Day

Yadkinville - Charles “Tom” Allen Day, Sr., 82, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021. Tom was born October 20, 1938 in Surry County to the late Dewey Winfield Day and Martha Walker Day. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Day; daughter, Regina Day; grandson, David Day Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Settle, Juanita Felts, Hazel Shermer; brother, Bill Day. Surviving are his sons, Allen (Cindy) Day, and David (Nikki) Day; grandchildren, Ariel Day (Jared Sprinkle), Brittney Day, Ayden Day, and Austin Day; sisters, Pat (Larry) Sizemore, Doris Wilkins, Margie Faw; brother, Bud Day; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Ottis Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock of Ages cemetery with full military honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346. Tom will lie in-state from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
