Charles "Wimp" Fred Royal, Jr.

Yadkinville Mr. Charles “Wimp” Fred Royal, Jr., 83, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Royal was born August 23, 1934 in Yadkin County to Charles and Frances Steelman Royall. He was a veteran of the US Army having served 2 years, and was in the used car business for over 50 years. Mr. Royal made many friends throughout his career. He loved to make people laugh, telling jokes and sharing funny stories from the past. He will be dearly missed by so many. In addition to his parents, Mr. Royal was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Royal. He is survived by the mother of his two sons, Brenda Haire Royal; two sons, Ken (Jean) Royal and Tim (Christine) Royal; one grandson, Adam Royal who was his best buddy; one step grandson, Ian Wynn; one sister, Mary Ann Hill; one brother, Douglas (Glenda) Royal; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Center United Methodist Church cemetery with Chaplain Greg Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30PM prior to the service at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkinville Church of Christ 617 W.
