YADKINVILLE - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Chasey Pardue Messick, 43, of Longtown Road, on December 2, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. Born on September 21, 1980, in Surry County, to Teddy and Lynn Hatcher Pardue, Chasey brought warmth, love, and grace to everyone she encountered.
Chasey's vibrant spirit and passion for her work as a cosmetologist shone through in every interaction. As the proud owner and operator of LaBell Salon, and later contributing her talents to Magnolia Square in Yadkinville, she created not just hairstyles but lasting connections with her clients and fellow coworkers. Her infectious enthusiasm and genuine interest in people made her the social butterfly everywhere and especially at her church, West Yadkin Baptist Church, of which she was a member.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Chasey found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether she was meticulously decorating her home, tending to her blooming flowers, or showering affection on her beloved canine companions-Kimber, Remi, Emma, and Zoe-Chasey embraced every moment with love and appreciation.
At the core of Chasey's world were her cherished relationships with her family. A devoted wife to Chris L. Messick and a loving mother to their wonderful daughter, Cora Lee Messick, she radiated warmth and care in every role she played. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family, including her mother, Lynn Hatcher Newman; brothers, David Pardue, Jason Newman; sister-in-law, Tabitha Senter; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Anita Messick; special cousin, Misty Jarvis; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at West Yadkin Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 where the family will receive visitors from 10 AM to 12 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Craig Edwards, will follow the visitation at 12 PM, with interment in the church cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Derick Davis Cancer Institute at Forsyth Medical Center, especially Dr. Kerri Johnson and Dr. Erin Jepson, for their unwavering and compassionate care during Chasey's journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Derrick Davis Cancer Institute of Forsyth Medical Center, allowing Chasey's legacy to contribute to the continued fight against cancer, a cause close to her heart.
May Chasey's bright spirit and the love she shared continue to inspire and uplift us all. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
