Christi Prim Matthews

Mrs. Christine “Christi” Prim Matthews, 52, passed away March 21, 2025. She was born January 7, 1973 in Yadkin County, to the late Jim and Bertha Prim. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers. Christi loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She had a huge love for all her dogs and she spent every weekend possible with her Mud Racing family slinging mud driving her Bottomle$$ pit Mega mud racing truck. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Matthews; children, Lindsay Matthews Combs (Andrew), Kyle Lee Matthews (Makenzie); grandchildren, Luke Denton Combs, Sam Douglas Combs, Gage Lee Combs, Aubrey Elise Matthews; two brothers, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Gentry Family funeral Service in Yadkinville. A celebration of life will be at 12:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2025 in the Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of Christi’s Mud Racing family and all of her close friends for all of the love and support shown to Christi and her family. And also, a special thank you to the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Yadkin County Humane Society. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Matthews family.
