Christine Matthews Kimmer

Traphill - Christine Ann Matthews Kimmer, 66 of Traphill, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at the Woltz Hospice House.  She was born April 27, 1957 in Yadkin County, the daughter of the late Eddie and Joyce Nance Matthews.   Christine was employed with Lowe’s Companies as a customer service representative.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Delia Matthews and Peggy Matthews.

Christine is survived by her husband, Donald D. Kimmer, her children, Janet Ray, Justin (Cassie) Kimmer and Elaina Kimmer, her grandchildren, Lauren Yates, Emma Ray, Peyton Ray, Brooklyn Hinshaw, Eli Hinshaw, Lincoln Hinshaw, Brantlee Kimmer, Brady Kimmer, and Blakelee Kimmer, her great grandchildren, Vincent Yates and Areya Aguirre.  She is further survived by her sisters, Becky (Steve) Messick, Donna Matthews, Kay Calhoun, brothers, Jerry Matthews, Dean (Ann) Matthews, Wayne Matthews, and Danny Matthews, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Union Baptist Church, Traphill, NC.  Memorials may be given to Union Baptist Church, 2002 Traphill Union Rd, Traphill, NC 28685.   Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Kimmer family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
