Yadkinville- Mr. Claude Thomas “Tommy” Joyner, 74, of Rome Anthony Road passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1950 in Surry County to the late Claude and Lula Mae Wells Joyner. Tommy as he was lovingly known by many, worked several years with Dan Beck Ford, Cloverdale Ford, until he started working as an independent truck driver moving modular homes throughout the area. He was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church and always enjoyed being with his grandchildren while also enjoying eating in his words, “good cooked food” or ice cream. In addition to his parents, Tommy was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Joyner on August 15, 2022 and his granddaughter, Maggie Elizabeth Ransom. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Joyner; his daughters, Jennifer (Jimmy) Ransom, Tonya Brown; his sons, Jeff (Kelli) Wallace, Todd (Dottie) Wallace; grandchildren, Colby (Clara) Ransom, Wake (Jessica) Ransom, Kerri Blevins, Trace Brown, Caleb (Savannah) Wallace, Claire Wallace, Maggie (Robert) Poole, McKenzie Barneycastle; 5 great-grandchildren; Brother, Dean (Vickie) Joyner; Sister, Lou Ann (Bill) Reavis; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:00PM Friday, December 27, 2024 at Liberty Baptist Church. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM Friday in the church with Rev. Joel Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 2433 Liberty Church Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.
