“I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful.” 2 Timothy 4:7 McCollum Yadkinville- Mr. Clifford Hampton McCollum, 81, passed away Sunday, February 04, 2018 at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin. Clifford was born January 7, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Oliver and Sarah Elizabeth Kiger McCollum. He was a 1955 graduate of Yadkinville High School, and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company on January 13, 1989 with 33 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and time with family. He was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church and attended while his health permitted. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene and Elwood McCollum, and nephews, Lewis Steven McCollum and David Dougherty. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Elaine Wiles McCollum, daughter, Holly Lewis (Ed Parrish), and the light of his life his granddaughter, Kinley Lewis; a brother, Lonnie Gray (Margaret) McCollum; four sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Shore, Brenda (Archie) Brown, Carol (Charles) Parker, Kay (Mitchell) Davis, sister-in-law, Phyllis McCollum; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A special thanks to Forsyth Medical Center, Yadkin County EMS, Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center, SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, and all the special Doctors, Nurses, and CNAs who cared for him through this difficult time. Also a special thanks to his nephew, Gray (Jamie) Brown for all that you have done for us. To our friends, and our families, Rev.
