Clyde Archie Hanes

Archie Hanes, 89, of Yadkinville, NC passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Archie was born on March 17, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Clyde Royal Hanes and Alice Shore Hanes. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son Douglas Martin Hanes, sister Annie Ruth Casstevens and two brothers, Thomas Lloyd Hanes and Roger Eugene Hanes. He is survived by his daughter Beverly Hanes; grandson Kristopher (Veronica) Klise; two great-granddaughters Kalysta and Viktoria Klise; brother James Brady Hanes; and several nieces and nephews. Archie retired from Thomasville Furniture (Armstrong Corpoation) and he truly enjoyed retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his true passion was golf, he enjoyed spending time with his friends on the golf course and especially his grandson Kristopher. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 23, 2018, 11:00 AM at Union Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Union Grove Baptist Church.
