Cornelia "Jo" Cockerham

Cornelia “Jo” Lane Cockerham, age 87, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. She was born April 9, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Marvin Lane and Mary Ethel Lane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Cockerham; a son, Danny Cockerham; two brothers, Wilson Lane and Edgar Lane; and step-mother, May Lane. She is survived by her son, Steve (Wanda) Cockerham; daughter-in-law, Wanda Ann Parker Cockerham; grandsons, Trent Cockerham, and Matthew (Janet) Cockerham; great-granddaughter, Sophie Cockerham; sister, Jessie Burchette; brother, Nelson Lane. A graveside service will be held at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Don Hudson officiating. The family would like to thank “Jo’s” special caregiver Karen for the loving care given to “Jo”. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3345 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville, NC 28642.
