Crystal Suzanne Smith

Crystal Suzanne Smith, 33, of East Bend NC was born on January 5, 1988 and passed away Sunday April 11, 2021.  Crystal was born in Forsyth County to Richard David Smith and Deborah Holcomb Smith.  Crystal fought a valiant fight against breast cancer with a silent and steady strength that was nothing short of admirable. Crystal stood firmly on the belief that she would be healed by Jesus Christ her defender and strength.  Jesus honored her prayers for healing by welcoming her into eternal freedom.  Crystal was a truly devoted mother who spent countless hours celebrating her children’s many athletic and academic accomplishments. Crystal’s quiet strength can be seen embodied in her daughter Mariah and her loving spirit in her son Josiah, whom she took great pride. Crystal enjoyed watching home renovation shows and dreamed of one day owning and renovating her own homes.  She enjoyed shopping and purchasing gifts for others. Crystal had many friends who loved her deeply and stood courageously by her side.  Crystal believed her journey against breast cancer would be worth it if it encouraged one person to find their salvation in Jesus.  Crystal was never in a hurry and will be remembered for gentle and peaceful nature. Crystal was preceded in death by two grandmothers Janet Holcomb and Doris White and is survived by two grandfathers Bobby Gene Holcomb, Sr. and Rick Smith; her loving parents David and Deborah Smith; her beautiful children Mariah Livingston and Josiah Smith; brother Austin Smith (Danielle); nephew Elias Smith; niece Avalena Smith. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice in Yadkinville, NC for the loving care given to Crystal, and to her beloved friends who stayed by her side around the clock until her reunion with her Savior. The Family will have a celebration service at Reynolda Church 2200 Reynolda Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27106 On Friday April 16th at 10:30.
