Cynthia “Robin” Miller Stevens, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was born January 4, 1960 in Forsyth County to Billy Grant Miller and Mary Frances Matthews Miller. She was preceded in death by her mother Frances Miller, brother Steve Hamm, Aunt Dot Adams and Uncle Warren G. Adams. Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband Mitch Stevens; children Lori Campbell (Tom), Lacy Azevedo (Jason), Clint Stevens (Heather); grandchildren Wyatt Stevens, Turner Stevens, Kole Azevedo, Cash Campbell, Adalee Stevens, Kendall Azevedo; sisters Dianne Doub (Gene), Mary Adams (Barry); nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children: Allen Doub (Brandy), Casey Doub (Suzanne), Ashley Adams (Brandon Hutchens), Tara Adams (Mike Harris), Layla Parrish (Brock), Grant Hamm, Byron Hamm; great-nieces and great-nephews Jaylyn Adams, Branson Hutchens, Alana Doub, Kora Harris, Brantley Harris, Eli Doub, Shelby Doub, Willow Parrish, Kendra Hamm. Robin was the owner of Polka Dots in Yadkinville. She loved cooking, shopping, making jewelry, spending time at the beach, and she was extremely crafty. Her true passion was children; she was a teacher at Forbush Elementary, East Bend Elementary and Forbush Middle School, influencing the lives of many children. Robin completed her undergraduate at UNC Greensboro, she then received her Master’s Degree from Appalachian State University and she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the friends, family, neighbors, and church family for the prayers, food, visits, and everything that was done for Robin. A special thank you to Mtn. Valley Hospice, Novant Health Care Center, and Cancer Treatment Centers of America for the excellent care given to Robin and the family. Her funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 14, 2018, 2:00 PM at Prospect UMC with Rev. Robin Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
