Yadkinville-  Mrs. Daisy B. Salmons, 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  She was born January 14, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Sant and Kate Bray Brown.  Mrs. Salmons worked for several years with Hanes Knitting of Winston-Salem.  She enjoyed farming outside with her husband, canning for others, and loved spending time with family and friends.  Mrs. Salmons was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, H. Thad Salmons on April 20, 1998; by two sisters, Martha Wooten, Mary Messick; and 4 brothers, George Brown, Hugh Brown, Claude Brown, Jake Brown.  Surviving are her brother, Ed (Jerry) Brown of Boonville; and several nieces and nephews, including 2 special nephews, Tommy (Tammy) Brown and Dale (Cara) Salmons.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Friday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev.
