Hennings Mocksville - Daniel Lee Hennings, 28, passed away on Sunday December 2, 2018. He was born in Forsyth County on November 29, 1990 to Dawn Hennings. Daniel attended Church of God in Yadkinville, worked at Mocksville Tire, he loved playing his guitar, playing pool with his friends, and time spent with his family. Daniel had an old soul, a loving spirit and was full of laughter. He loved old country music and taught himself to be a great guitar player. He is survived by his mother, Dawn Hennings; a sister; Laykin Adams; Nana, Betty Shoffner all of the home; grandparents, Mr. Larry (Peggy) Hennings of Yadkinville; two great aunts, Patsy Tuttle of Mocksville and Judy Saunders of Lenoir; an uncle, Landon Hennings; cousins, Robin Mummert, Travis Mummert, Landon (Leah) Mummert, Grant (Jennifer) Trivette, Kayla Hennings, Sara Hennings, Casey Cartrette. His best buddies, Levi and Luka Mummert, he was their “Bubba” and his favorite pets, Apollo and Shaddie. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 7:00 pm at Gentry Funeral Chapel in Yadkinville with Pastor Timothy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, the family request any donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of his Nana. The family would like to thank everyone for all of the calls and prayers.
