Daniel Woodrow Long

Daniel Woodrow Long, 65, passed away unexpectedly Thursday February 22, 2024. He was born October 7, 1958 in Yadkin County to the late John Thomas Long and Rosa Lee Young Hawkins. Mr. Long enjoyed music, playing all kinds of Instruments, singing in church, fishing, spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Evangela Long; brothers Thomas Long, Charles Long, Larry Long, and Timothy Long. Surviving are his wife Sheila Nichols Long; children Kinston Nichols, Shasta Nichols, Daneshia Nichols; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters Cynthia Cowan, Tina Imes; brother Dennis (Vera) Long. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday March 2, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by pastor Marvin Harper. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at the ICU at Baptist Hospital and family and friends for the loving care given to Mr. Long.
