Darnell committed her life to the Lord in 1970 and she went to church faithfully as well as taking her children. She attended Shallowford Baptist Church in Pfafftown until her health would no longer allow her. The last few years spending a lot of time at home she enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to the Jimmy Swaggert Ministry. She also loved to read on her kindle and watch the old westerns on TV.
