Darryl Cletus Wood

Jonesville Mr. Darryl Cletus Wood, 59, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Darryl was born December 24, 1961 in Surry County to Robert and Gerry Ashley Wood. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Darryl enjoyed spending time with his grandson and watching racing. In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by a brother, Dean (Kathy) Wood; and an aunt, Janet Longworth. He is survived by his grandson, Levi Wood; a daughter, Kimberly Wood; granddaughter, Areil Jay-Lyn Milam; a brother, Robbie Wood; aunts and uncles, Brenda (Bill) Hardy, Peggy Isaac, Carol (Don) Spry, Dennis (Judy) Wood, Donald Wood, Billy (Mary) Ashley, and Danny Ashley; and numerous special cousins and friends. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Benfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentry Family Funeral Service to assist with the funeral expenses. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wood family.
