David Anderson Smith, age 74, of Boonville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. David was born in Forsyth County to Kineth and Brona Smith. He was a member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church. David was a jack of all trades,  welding and fabrication was his passion. He retired from North American Attachments and owned Smith’s Gun Shop for 35 years. In his early life, he owned and operated Smith’s Welding Shop where he was known best for building water and wood stove, and trailers. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother June Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Deborah Smith; two sons Patrick and Brandon (Nichole) Smith, three sisters, Janie Kye, LeeAnn (David) Myers, Bonnie (George) Hennings; and many nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, Christalina, Brinleigh, Anderson, Daylan, and Carter Smith who he thought the world of and loved dearly.

His funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 3:00PM at Richmond Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Luke Money, Rev. Daniel Merritt, and Rev. Will Hamric officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, ICU doctors and nurses for the loving care shown to Mr. Smith and his family.
