David Alan Fontana

Hamptonville Mr. David Alan Fontana, 57, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Fontana was born February 19, 1964 in Ohio to Martin and Blanche Hutcheson Fontana. He enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, drums and the accordion. Mr. Fontana also enjoyed gardening & landscaping, watching his grandchildren play sports, and was very artistic. He was very family oriented and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. In addition to his mother, Mr. Fontana was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tim Clark. He is survived by his father, Martin Fontana; his wife of 35 years, Jennifer Clark Fontana; three children, Ginger (Randle) Galyean, Anthony David Fontana, and Nicholas Christopher Fontana; grandchildren, Summer Breeze, Abigail Grace, Samuel Alan, and Liberty Jean; a sister, Crissy (Robert) Melinitski; two brothers, Martin (Jacki) Fontana, II and John (Donna) Fontana; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Pauline Moreau; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Jennifer-Lynn, Marty, Jr., Michael, Andrew, Christina, Kelly, Ryan, Andrea, Sarah, Matthew, Alicia, and Ben; brother-in-law, Tom (Linda) Clark; sister-in-law, Kathy (Dave) Hockett; and his K-9 companions, Crockett and Shadow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Fontana family.
