Dean Alan Andrews

Hamptonville – Dean Alan Andrews, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022. He was born June 30, 1961 in Allegany County to the late Ernest Emmett Andrews, Sr. and Mary Helen Solomon Andrews. Dean was owner and operator of Millennium Electric Company for 25 years, where he worked every day with his two boys. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy. His happy place was on a ballfield watching his grandkids play. He was known as “Paw Paw” to his grandchildren and to other children. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, David Andrews, Ernest Andrews, Jr. Surviving is his wife, Loretta Yarboro Andrews; children, Justin (Ashley) Andrews, Joshua “Josh” (Katie) Andrews, Jami (Kyle) Hutchens; grandchildren, Jaxon Andrews, Avan Andrews, Jackson Abbott, Avery Hutchens, Adalee Hutchens, Ansley Hutchens; sisters, Diane Holbrook, Deborah (Ray) Handy, Donna (Jeff) Mathis; brothers, Donald (Reda) Andrews, Dale (Anita) Andrews; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Larry Long and family. His funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Tim Webb and Dr. Hubert Wishon. A private burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
