BOONVILLE-  Mr. Dean Ray Norman, 79, of Lake Drive passed away peacefully Monday, May 3, 2021 at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.  Mr. Norman was born May 9, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Ray and Thelma Renegar Norman.  He was retired from W.N. Ireland Insurance Agency and the owner and operator of Yadkin Insurance Service for several years.  Mr. Norman was a member of Boonville United Methodist Church and a faithful member of Boonville Fire Department where he served several years as the Fire Chief.  He was also a veteran of the US Air National Guard in Charlotte.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 53 years, Gale Redden Norman, of the home; his son, Rickman Dean Norman and wife, Tammy of Charlotte; a sister, Janice Sue Pardue of Statesville; and several cousins.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday May 8, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation 2:00 PM Saturday in the Gentry Family Chapel with David Shore, speaking.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC  27055.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
