Debra Ward Hutchens

Yadkinville Mrs. Debra Hutchens, 62, passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Mrs. Hutchens was born November 21, 1959 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Earshel Ward and Virginia Brown Ward King. She enjoyed working with puzzles, riding the side by side, and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her father, Mrs. Hutchens was preceded in death by a sister, Melanie Ferguson; and her mother-in-law, Stella Baity Hutchens. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mitchell Dean Hutchens; two sons, Mitchell “Dean” (Dawn) Hutchens and Travis Hutchens; grandchildren, Haiden Widener, Gabriel, Melanie, and Christian Hutchens; her father-in-law, Ray Marvin Hutchens; sisters, Sherry (Larry) Younce, Karen Toler, and Vicki (Jonathan) Phipps; a brother, Jeffrey (Viola) Ward; a special niece, Krisie (Jimmy) Gardner; a brother-in-law, Brian (Danyl) Hutchens; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Forbush Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forbush Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the church prior to the service. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hutchens family.
