Hamptonville- Mrs. Dolores Elledge Ritchie, 90, of Old 421 Yadkin Road passed away peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 24, 1927 in Wilkes County to the late Harrison and Amelia Welborn Elledge. Mrs. Ritchie was retired from Ithaca Hoisery in North Wilkesboro with over 20 years of service, and was a faithful member of Dennyville Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker for each of them. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Ritchie; a daughter, Patricia Ritchie Anthony; and by her two brothers, William C. “Willie” Elledge, Adrian Elledge. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Ritchie (James H.) Parks, Norma J. Ritchie (Boone Swaim); her son-in-law, Gayle Anthony; 4 grandchildren, Gina Anthony Redmond, Jamie Parks Barron, Shellie Marshall Yarboro, Jodi Parks Myers; 9 great-grandchildren, Brooke Redmond, Calvin Yarboro, Austin Dice, Regan Redmond, Coy Yarboro, Ellie Barron, James Robert Myers, Joshua Barron, Madison Myers; and her sister, Mary Alice Gardner of Hamptonville. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 PM Sunday April 22, 2018 at Dennyville Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM Sunday in the church with Rev. Joel Riley, Rev. Dwayne Byrd, Rev. Scotty Johnson, and Rev. Jerry Elledge, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
