Dennis "Buddy" Russell Collins

State Road Mr. Dennis “Buddy” Russell Collins, 62, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home. Mr. Collins was born June 11, 1958 in Surry County to Russell and Nonnie Adams Collins. He retired from Surry Telephone and loved the outdoors, especially working with his cattle and farming. In addition to his father, Mr. Collins was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Lou Collins; and a nephew, Mark Absher. He is survived by his mother; his loving wife of 35 years, Vicky Marsh Collins; a son, Shane (Amy) Collins; and two sisters, Marie Poteate and Ann (Jerry) Absher. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:00PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Absher and Rev. Ricky Tucker officiating.
