Yadkinville Mr. Derek Dean Taylor, 42, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a courageous 3-year battle with Leukemia. Derek was born March 25, 1980 in Forsyth County to Dennis and Nancy Brown Taylor. He was the owner of Precision Auto Paint and Body and he thoroughly enjoyed his work. Derek loved riding side by sides, spending time at the creek, racing, boating, and making memories with his family. He will always be remembered as a genuine, kind man who was loved by so many. Derek was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents, VA and Audrie Brown and Margaret Taylor. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Candy Brown Taylor; daughter, Kayden Taylor; step children, Ashlyn Johnson and Zachary Hall; grandchildren, Aiden and Autumn Miller; aunts and uncle, Gina and Larry Brown and Judith Shore; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special family members; and his K-9 companion, Dallas. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
