Dewey "Graham" Campbell

Mr. Dewey “Graham” Campbell, 94, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his home.  Mr. Campbell was born June 2, 1927 in Yadkin County to Roscoe and Pearl Groce Campbell.  He was a veteran of the US Army, having served as an Army Medic in Nagasaki after WWII.  Mr. Campbell was a brick mason and later became a tobacco farmer.  He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and growing blueberries.  Mr. Campbell enjoyed traveling with his wife in their later years.  He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sarah Elizabeth Miller Campbell; three sisters, Lorene Mendenhall, Lola Mae Oliver, and Georgia Carpenter; and three brothers, Jay Lee Campbell, Richard Campbell, and Kenneth Campbell.  He is survived by two children, Randall (Rosalie) Campbell and Robin Campbell (Kenneth) Thompson; three grandchildren, Geoffrey Campbell (Vanessa), Marc Thompson, and Beth Thompson; a brother, Byron (Grace Ann) Campbell; and two sisters-in-law, Ruby Campbell and Shirley Campbell.

A private service will be conducted at a later date. 

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Kenny Crissman for the loving care given to Mr. Campbell this past year and to the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice for the wonderful care in his final days.
