Donald Gray Cranfill

Mr. Donald Gray Cranfill, 72, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1951 to Kathleen Fleming and Luther Cranfill. Donald was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. He owned D.G. Cranfill Trucking, and drove a truck for over 48 years. Donald enjoyed motorcycles, football, woodworking, and restoring old cars. He and Helen were members of Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a helpful neighbor to all in need. Donald will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Frances O’Neal and John Henry O’Neal. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 51 years, Helen P. Cranfill; children, Donna Marie Hutchins (Steve Kasare) and Donnie (Tammy) Seats; grandchildren, Kristen Seats, Kaitlyn (Steven) Jarvis, Kirstie Hutchins, and Sam Hutchins (Samantha Grimes); great-grandson, Adrian Cervantes; brother, Lawrence Cranfill; sister, Retha (Curtis) Gaither; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Siloam Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Siloam Baptist Church, 6909 Siloam Road, Siloam, NC 27047, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Cranfill family.
