Donald Cratie Holcomb

Mr. Donald Cratie Holcomb, 78, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born March 26, 1946 in Wilkes County to the late Cratie and Thelma Burcham Holcomb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Lee Holcomb, Spenser Holcomb; half-brothers, Norris Burcham, Raymond Burcham; sisters, Carrie Ann Swaim, Linda Hutson, and Betty Murphy. Mr. Holcomb enjoyed fishing and he loved watching professional wrestling. He is survived by his brother, JW Holcomb; brothers-in-law, Fred Swaim, Billy Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at Swaim’s Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gordon Macemore officiating. The family would like to thank Donald's friends, and neighbors in the Shady Grove community for all the love and care shown. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Holcomb family.
