Donald Bowman Norman

East Bend – Donald Bowman Norman, 83, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024.  He was born August 7, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Charlie “Foy” Norman and Elizabeth “Mae” Bowman Norman.  Donald owned and operated East Bend Equipment.  He served as a volunteer fireman for the East Bend Fire Department for 36 years.  Donald and Nancy always enjoyed their time racing in the GATR Truck Racing Tour.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann Smith Norman; sister, Yvonne Owen; brothers, Carlysle Norman, Ronald Norman.  He is survived by his children, Annette (Michael) Lyon, Donna Norman, Charles (Tina) Norman; grandchildren, David (Brittany) Kirkpatrick, Tiffany (Tristan) Brooks; great grandchild, Jasper Brooks; brother, Allan Norman; special cousin, Eddy Lee Snow; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at New Home United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.   Memorials can be made to God’s Garage, c/o Chris Brown, P.O.
