Donald Gray Wilkins, Sr.

Hamptonville Mr. Donald Gray Wilkins, Sr., 79, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin. Mr. Wilkins was born May 31, 1940 in Yadkin County to Walt Meadows and Marjorie Wilkins. He was a truck driver for many years and retired from WLA Trucking. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkins was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne Wilkins. He is survived by his wife, Callie Horton Wilkins; children, Robin (Steve) Hunter, Penny Hutchens, and Donald Wilkins, Jr.; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and an aunt, Dorothy Childress. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm, Sunday March 15, 2020 at West Yadkin Assembly of God cemetery with Pastor Bobby Jenkins Jr. officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin for the loving care given to Mr. Wilkins.
