Donna Kay Hobson

Yadkinville Ms. Donna Kay Hobson, 64, passed away peacefully Friday, February 1, 2019. Ms. Hobson was born October 11, 1954 in Yadkin County to James and Beatrice Williams Hobson. She was a member of Pilot View Friends Church. Donna was a dear sister, daughter, and friend. She dearly loved her family and was loved in return by so many. The frailties that she experienced in this life are put to rest by the promise of Jesus Christ and the life she is experiencing with Him now. We thank God for healing her. Donna enjoyed collecting Barbie dolls, Elvis memorabilia, and Fenton glass along with selling Avon. Donna was preceded in death by her father and her brother-in-law, George Steelman. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sisters, Darlene (Grey) Caudle and Debra Steelman; a niece and nephew, Lauren (Justin) Willard and Russell Caudle; one great nephew, Jake Willard; and several cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Pilot View Friends Church with Rev. Josh Williams and Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pilot View Friends Church, 3225 Pilot View Church Rd; Yadkinville, NC 27055.
