Doris Vestal Rogers

Jonesville Mrs. Doris Marie Vestal Rogers, 85, went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 9, 2019 at Wilkes Senior Village of N. Wilkesboro.  Doris was born December 20, 1933 in Yadkin County to Dorothy Vestal. She worked at Chatham Manufacturing in the Binding Dept. for over 45 years.  Doris was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Grady James Rogers; and a brother, Doug Wagoner.   She is survived by her daughter, Allison (Keith) Lyon; grandchildren, Bradley (Keisha) Lyon and Kelly Lyon; great grandchildren, Chloe and Caden Lyon; brother, Tommy E. Wagoner; and special family members, Shawn (GC) Pardue, Robin Hobbs, Dean (Pam) Hobbs, Marlee Pardue, Matt (Anna) Pardue, Paige and Grayson Pardue, and Jonathan Hobbs.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30AM, Monday, November 11, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Don Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow at Fall Creek Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 3345 Fall Creek Church Rd Jonesville, NC 28642.
