YadkinvilleMrs. Dorothy Mae Spillman Cash, 88, formerly of Yadkinville, passed away Thursday May 11, 2017 at Springs of Catawba in Hickory. Dot, as she was called by family and friends, was the daughter of the late Neal Gray Spillman and Minnie Gough Spillman and was born April 2, 1929 in Yadkin County. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Eugene Cash, her sisters, Bertha Spillman, Frances Smith, Kathleen Spillman and Laura Binkley and her brothers, Dayton Spillman, Tom Spillman and John Spillman.Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Cash of Statesville and Cindy (Bill) Jackman of Richmond, Indiana, her grandchildren, Neal (Lillian) Caudle of Atlanta, GA, Tracy (Santo) Caivano of Raleigh, Zachary (Nancy Lin) Caudle of Statesville, John Jackman, Joe Jackman, and Jan Jackman, and three great grandchildren, Nash Caudle, Samantha and Cayden Caivano. Other survivors are her sister Mrs. Nora Brown of East Bend, her sister-in-law, Mrs. Pat Bright of Pfafftown along with her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.The funeral service for Dot Cash will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Harmony Grove Friends Meeting in Yadkinville with Reverend Wallace Sills and burial to follow in the meeting’s cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, May 15, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
