Dorothy Wilkins Childress

Yadkinville – Dorothy Wilkins Childress, 95, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was born March 18, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Miles Wilkins and Metta Foster Wilkins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Childress; son, Andy Wilkins; grandchildren, Kevin Brown; sisters, Margie Reavis, Edith Absher; brother, Lloyd Wilkins. Surviving is her son, Larry (Debbie) Childress; daughter-in-law, Betty Wilkins; grandchildren, Wesley (Amy) Childress, Jeremy Childress, Eric (Deana) Wilkins, Angie (Rick) Chrapliwy; great grandchildren, Savannah (Dylan) Shaw, Jacob Childress, Andy Wilkins, Daniel Wilkins, Matthew (Kathrine) Brown; great great grandchildren, Hunter Shaw, Bentley Brown, Maverick Brown. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 24, 2022 at West Yadkin Assembly of God by the Rev. Bobby Jenkins Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dorothy will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:00 PM at West Yadkin Assembly of God.
