Dorothy Shore Stone

Stone Hamptonville – Dorothy Jean Shore Stone, 70, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. She was born November 7, 1946 in Yadkin County to the late Lester Shore and Nora Brooks Shore.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, JoAnn Shaffner, Carol Sloop; brother, Kenneth Shore.  Surviving are her children, Bobby (Tammy) Stone, Michael (Cindy) Stone; grandchildren, Lauren Stone, Michaela Stone, Courtney Stone; sisters, Betty Reece, Joan Hinson, Brenda (Preston) Stringer, Donna (Junior) Goforth; brothers, Charles (Ola) Shore, Wayne (Vickie) Shore, Gayle Shore; sister-in-law, Vena Shore; several nieces and nephews.  Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Marler Road Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Johnson.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  The family would like to thank Chatham Nursing and Rehab Center for all the love and care shown to Dorothy.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Stone family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
