Doyle Eugene Sturdivant

Sturdivant Elkin - Mr. Doyle Eugene Sturdivant, 54, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence. Doyle was born May 3, 1962 to the late William Sturdivant and Elenor Adams Sturdivant. In addition to his parents, Doyle was preceded in death by one daughter, Ashley Brook Sturdivant.  He is survived by his wife, Tona Sturdivant; daughter, Heather Sturdivant Collins (Special Friend John Eads); son, Nick (Sabrina) Reavis; grandchildren, Chloe and Zoe Collins, and Jesse Reavis; sisters, Annette Sturdivant Darnell, Pam (David) Casstevens.  A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Kent Olivit officiating.  Doyle was a retired Deputy Sheriff after serving proudly with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.  He was an amateur ham radio operator and a member of the Harmon Masonic Lodge.  The family would like to give a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and also to all of Doyle’s ham radio friend’s that made his last days enjoyable.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, P.O.
