Dwight Loftin Trivette

Yadkinville Mr. Dwight Loftin Trivette, 87, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Trivette was born May 2, 1931 in Iredell County to Dewey and Effie Williams Trivette. He was a member of Asbury UMC and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 10346. In addition to his parents, Mr. Trivette was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Fawver; one grandchild, Randy Tutterow; one sisters, Lottie Gilbert; and four brothers, Clay, JC, Wayne, Vance, and Dewey Trivette. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirlene White Trivette; five children, Kathy (Richard) Rogers, Dwight Trivette, Jr., Renee (Joey) Ross, Timothy (Tonie) Church, and Tammy (Robert) Hall; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Asbury UMC with Rev. Mark Reavil officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Friday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury UMC, 1900 Asbury Church Rd.
