Edith Mae Morefield

Edith Mae Morefield, 67, passed away on April  6 2018 at Mountain Valley Hospice Home, Yadkinville. She was born in Surry County, NC on April 17, 1950; daughter of the late Claude Everette Morefield and Ila Davis Morefield. Edith was a member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church, worked at Bates Nightwear as a seamstress and Industries for the Blind. She is survived by her sister, Wilma Nations (Larry); her twin brother; Everette Morefield (Wanda) and several nieces and nephews; and a special friend; Diedra Redmond.   A celebration of life service will be conducted at Richmond Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Will Hamric officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Richmond Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund c/o 2205 Richmond Hill Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011 and SECU Hospice of Yadkin, 243 North Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to thank her Sunday School class, neighbors and church family.
