Edith Collins Sprinkle

Mrs. Edith Mae Collins Sprinkle, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 3, 2018 after a long illness.  Edith was born on November 23, 1938 to Robert Nelson and Gertie Flynn Collins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. David Curman Sprinkle; sisters, Rosie Lee (Verne) Warden, JennieVee (John) Warden, Betty Louranie Collins, Joan Collins, Shelba (Clifford) Royall, and Susie Collins; and several nieces and nephews.  Surviving are her sisters, Kay (James) Driver and Bobbie Jane Collins; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Warden and Rev. Bobby Watts officiating.  Burial will follow Turners Creek Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care and compassion shown during Edith’s illness.  A special thanks also, to Jane Lowry.
