Elise Fleming Pendry

Boonville Elise Fleming Pendry, 88, of Boonvile, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018. She was born in Yadkin County on May 1, 1930 to Paul and Evva Poindexter Fleming. Mrs. Pendry was a member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church. She worked at the Gazebo in Reynolda Village for 33 years and taught upholstery at Surry Community College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pendry, two grandsons Bryan Newsome and Aaron Pendry, brothers, C.L., Frank, and Ross Fleming, and a sister Dorothy Jester. Surviving are her children, Ronnie (Lisa) Pendry, Danny Pendry, Sara (Barney Newsome), Cynthia (Brady) Hopkins, and Richard (Rebecca) Pendry,grandchildren, Angie (Brad) Perry, Lovenia Newsome, Jessica Pendry and fiancé Mark Hebard, Ethan (Devan) Pendry, Noah Pendry, Hannah (Adam) Lancaster, Airman Ira Blevin Hopkins, Byron Hopkins, Jace Pendry, and Autumn Elise Pendry, great-grandchildren, Bailee Newsome and Corbin Perry, a brother, George Fleming. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Richmond Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Will Hamric and Rev. Dan Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Richmond Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road, Boonville, NC 27011.
